Q. What is FrEd Matters?
A. FrEd Matters symposiums are one day collaborative events that promote a growth mindset and address critical topics in French education today. FrEd Matters understands that French teachers face an ever-changing landscape of challenges in the world of education. We believe that by building a creative, informed community of teachers, we can work together to meet the intellectual, social, digital, behavioral, and emotional needs of each and every student we serve. FrEd Matters symposiums promote a growth mindset and address critical topics in French education today.
Q. What is the date for the next FrEd Matters symposium?
A. Toronto - August 22, 2018, Grand Prairie, AB - TBA
Q. What are the times?
A. Times vary depending on the event. Often, the symposium runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Light Breakfast: 8:30am to 9am. First sessions: 9:15am-10:30am. Second sessions: 10:30 to 11:45am Full lunch (with dietary accommodations available): 11:45am to 12:30pm. Third sessions: 12:45pm to 2:00pm. Fourth sessions: 2:15pm to 3:30pm.
Q. What is the cost?
A. All costs are posted on the Register Today page. Costs differ depending on the size and scope of each FrEd Matters symposium.
Q. Do you know of financial aid that may be available?
A. Check with your local administration, parent council, school board and/or union for potential financial aid.
Q. Will it be taking place online?
A. Not this time. But who knows in the future! You can always follow along using the hashtag #FrEdMattersCA.
Q. Do you provide hotel information?
A. Yes. We provide attendees with Symposium recommended hotels.
Q. Where would a FrEd Matters symposium be located?
A. We host symposiums internationally. Easy to arrange, contact us about hosting an event in your area. FrEd Matters can do all the organization and planning.
Q. Will food be provided?
A. A light breakfast and a healthy, hot lunch will be provided (special dietary requests accommodated) at most events.
Q. What if I have registered and can no longer attend? What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made before July 1st, 2018, will be refunded, minus a $20 administrative fee. After July 1st, cancellations will be refunded, minus a $100 administrative fee. FrEd Matters can also credit your registration fee towards a future conference.
